Stuart L. Fred, President

Stuart began his prolific career in commercial real estate in 1984 and started Bomasada with a vision to acquire and manage existing Class A multifamily and retail properties. After successful implementation and rapid economic growth, within two years, he began developing his own new multifamily projects. Today, Stuart oversees day-to-day operations for Bomasada, one of the premier, privately held, multifamily real estate development/contracting firms in the United States. Since inception, the Bomasada team has now completed over $1.5 billion of development and construction projects.
 
Stuart received his BS degree in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University. He continually seeks higher education opportunities in construction and real estate management processes. A licensed pilot and aviation enthusiast, Stuart flies and maintains jet war birds. He is an avid sportsman and hunter and is ranked as one of the top-ranked amateur golfers in Texas.
 
Stuart is an active member of multiple organizations including: National Multi Housing Council, National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Texas Association of Realtors, National Business Aircraft Association (NBAA), Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association  (AOPA). He is President of the Herb Fred Medical Association. He is a Board Member / Director of the Cessna Jet Pilots Association (CJP) and a Board Member of the National Air and Space Museum, Washington D.C.

John L. Gilbert, Sr. Vice President

Throughout his prevalent commercial real estate career, John has negotiated and closed over $1.5 billion in commercial real estate transactions. He has led and represented institutional and private investors in the development, acquisition and/or disposition of over 8,000 multifamily units. John utilizes his extensive knowledge acquired over 34 years of experience to identify key acquisition and development opportunities for Bomasada. Through targeted, proprietary economic and feasibility studies, he is able to identify pre-development opportunities. From site identification through land acquisition, permitting, community relations, development, marketing, stabilization and disposition, John brings exceptional value to every project. John graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Biology. He is a licensed Texas real estate broker and active in philanthropic endeavors.

Tim Dison, Vice-President

Tim adds extensive development expertise to Bomasada with a career that spans 27 years in the multifamily industry. His unique level of experience has been achieved through focused responsibilities in the design, construction and development of multifamily communities. His diverse background encompasses experience in all multifamily design types including suburban apartments, high-density low, mid-rise and high-rise buildings, mixed-use and student housing developments. Possessing a degree in Architecture, Tim’s creative and artistic character and passion shine through in all facets of his approach to the business. His enthusiasm is evident to his partners and teammates and visible in the successfully developed communities he participates in. Talented at identifying and assessing opportunities, discovering solutions and guiding team members, Tim sources new business for Bomasada. He also manages the Development and Construction Divisions for the company.
 
Prior to joining Bomasada, Tim was Vice President of Crescent Resources LLC’s Multifamily Division based in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was in charge of development activities in Florida and student housing development nationwide. Having joined the firm at inception in 1999, Tim was involved in the majority of developments completed by the Multifamily Division during his 13-year tenure. He was also instrumental in the launch of Crescent’s new student housing venture having developed and procured the company’s first two student housing communities.
 
Tim studied Engineering at Jacksonville State University and received his BA in Architecture from Hampton University.

Wayne Hubley, Production/Project Manager

Wayne has been with Bomasada for over 31 years. He has extensive experience in both multifamily and commercial construction, managing projects with a total dollar volume exceeding $800 million. Wayne assists in the day-to-day on-site operations of many of the properties in the Bomasada portfolio. These responsibilities include overseeing on-site management and staff, soliciting bids and awarding contracts for capital improvements. Wayne is an avid fisherman and devotes time to directing youth programs in hockey and volleyball.


Jay Mees, Project Manager

Jay brings over 30 years of hands-on, multifamily construction experience to Bomasada. After overseeing the on-site construction of over 12,000 units throughout the southern U.S., Jay knows what works in the field. He has worked on projects with individual budgets from $12 million up to $500 million. His notable experience in all styles of multifamily construction includes: garden-style, podium (multi-story above parking), building wraparound garage structures, mid-rise with steel/concrete poured in place and tunnel form, tax credit projects, retirement communities and loft rehab projects. Jay’s vast experience gives him the unique ability to quickly identify which style of construction fits each of Bomasada’s projects, both aesthetically and economically, and the ability to effectively execute production from the ground up. This equates to a more efficient bottom line resulting in a higher return on investment (ROI). Jay received his BS in Architecture from the University of Texas. He is an avid hunter and fisherman and an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council, The United States Naval Institute and The American Legion.

Lisa Fred, In-House Interior Designer

Lisa is an integral part of the design process at Bomasada. She incorporates her passion for hospitality design and love of the Arts with her desire to create personalized environments for the multifamily market. Through careful selection of color, material finishes, furniture, lighting techniques, and art selection, Lisa’s collaborative design efforts help position Bomasada’s multifamily developments as unique communities of distinction. Lisa received her BA in Interior Design from the accredited Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). She is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Design (ASID). Her work has been featured at NEOCON, the premier interior design industry convention, as well as the Boundary Hall Exhibit in Savannah, Ga.

Jo Asher Ved, Accounting Manager
joved@bomasada.com

Jo has managed all accounting and treasury functions for Bomasada for 17 years. Her focus includes software conversions, implementation of the accounting system, job costing and subcontract recording in the form of AIA formats for the construction entity, applications of payments to lenders, financial reporting, cash management and auditing for multiple entities. She brings broad accounting experience across multiple industries including manufacturing, banking and television broadcasting. Jo received her Bachelor’s degree from University of Bombay.  She is an active participant in community non-profit organizations and is a student of vocal classical music.
